The life chances of far too many young people are still determined by background, not potential. Career Ready exists to change that.

Career Ready is a Scotland and UK-wide social mobility charity working with schools and employers to help young people in school years S5/S6 kick-start their career through their programme of monthly mentoring paired with paid summer internship, giving them access to workplace networks, knowledge and experience that they might not otherwise get.

“Talent doesn’t have a postcode, yet so many opportunities are limited by where you come from. With your growing support we hope to change this and ensure that young people everywhere can kickstart a great future.”

Tokunbo Ajasa-Oluwa, Career Ready, CEO

How employers can support Career Ready

Career Ready aim to consistently support over 1,000 young people across Scotland each year. Here’s how you can help achieve this.

Deliver the programme

Make a direct impact in your community by providing life-changing mentors, each accompanied by a four-week paid internship, for young people.

charitable work

Career Ready rely on financial contributions to generate the £1 million they need to deliver their work each year across Scotland. There are a range of ways you can support them with this. As a business, you can donate. Or, you and your colleagues can show your support as fundraisers.
Every little helps.
